1.  How to select a topic, research, competitor, and keywords for SEO Content writing

Now, you know who you are writing for and for what purpose, it is time to decide what you will write about. If your website is about a specific service in IT, then write about things that have to do with it. Issues that play with your aforementioned target group.

You can come up with ideas to Web content writing about in many different ways

A few tips:

  • Perform keyword research
  • View which terms are popular in your industry through Google News or BuzzSumo
  • See what your competitors are blogging about
  • Ask your salespeople or customer service what questions they often hear
  • Ask your current customers what they would like to know/learn
  • Collect objections as to why people are not interested in your services or products

We recommend that you choose one topic to devote an article to and find one keyword that you focus on for your SEO. For example, this article focuses on the long tail keyword "how do I write a blog", which is searched on average 90 times a month.

How do you know if that topic is also best for your blog when you consider SEO Content writing?

Look at your target group:

I already mentioned how important it is to know who your ideal reader is and to write specifically for it. This especially in the context of a book or story, but this certainly also applies to a blog. Know who your target audience is, know who you write for, so you know who reads your blogs.

Popular messages:

One way to know what your target audience likes to read is to look at which messages are popular on your website. These are the messages that are read a lot, even after a long time. Via your website or via Google Analytics you can see which of your blogs are popular, which are read often and longer and of course which have more likes and reactions than others of your blogs. For example, my blog from last year about choosing a good name for your character is still viewed every day and has a total of more than 1250 views.

Make sure there is a line in it:

Everything you can think of writing makes your blog messy and not interesting for your reader. Your reader will certainly not like all those things. Chances are he or she will drop out. It is important to ensure that you have a niche. A certain subject that you are very happy to write about. For me, that is writing. Reading is related to that, so I write about that too. My ideal reader, so you, find those topics interesting too. You know that I am writing about this and will soon come back to see if I have written anything about it again.

And don't try to fill in your blog as an entrepreneurial, traveling, cooking lifestyle blogger. Choose one main subject and become a connoisseur in it. Make sure the reader knows what he or she can expect in general. With a surprise sometimes a great over-the-top hot chocolate recipe or something. But make sure there is one clear mainline in your blog. Entrepreneurship, or beauty & lifestyle, or travel.

Stay close to yourself:

Above all, choose topics that suit you. Don't write about things that you don't like just because they are popular topics. And you hope to get so many hits on your website. Not only will the reader read between the lines that this is not your subject, but blogging will also increasingly stop you. You must above all have fun blogging!

2.  Why keywords & keyword research are so important?

A keyword search and the corresponding keywords are the basis of any SEO content strategy. Because suppose you have a very cool idea to write about. Namely your favorite hobby: fitness with your body weight (this is my hobby, but that aside).

This way you find out the keywords used by your competitors?

Now we come to the real thing! You now have sufficient prior knowledge. There are different tools that you can use like ahref, spyfu, SEOquake, Semrush, etc.

3.  How to optimize catching title, placement of keyword or keywords for your Web content writing?

The most important things which you must know technically. Now we discuss these things step by step:

Catching titles for your SEO Content writing:

The title is the first thing on which a researcher first see on results pages. For this I give ten useful tips below:

  • Be as specific as possible
  • Use lists of numbers
  • Make an attractive promise
  • Make it easy and simple
  • Concentrate on How what and why
  • Better asking than asking
  • Don't make the catchy title too long
  • Stimulate a bold statement
  • it is advisable not to always use the same kind of titles
  • Don't forget to first search on Google!

Importance of keywords for SEO Content writing:

Adding keywords and SEO implementation are among the most important aspects of online content development. Search engines scan millions of web pages every day and analyze all words, keywords, and sentences according to certain algorithms. The better the content matches search queries that users enter via the search engines, the higher the online content scores within the results page, or the 'Search Engine Results Page (SERP).

4.  Keyword Density for Web content writing:

Keyword Density indicates how often a specific keyword or specific word combination occurs in a web text. This is important for SEO optimization and online marketing, or Search Engine Optimization. The more ideal the distribution of these search terms over the total text, the better it meets the SEO conditions, and the greater the chance that search engines such as Google and Bing make the page score higher in the search results.

Avoid stuffing and spamming with content optimization:

The more relevant keywords and the better the Keyword Density, the better for the ranking in search engines such as Google. But too many keywords also have a negative marketing effect on the online text. Not only because the search engines penalize this type of 'keyword stuffing' or 'keyword spamming' with a lower score, but it is also not conducive to readability. Readers then quickly drop out and look for other information.

Optimization via naturally written text for SEO Content writing:

To perform higher within SEO and to be higher in the ranking, the quality of the text itself is just as important as the Keyword Density. A pleasantly readable text with relevant information keeps the attention of the reader for longer and that the search engines take that into account. That is why it is important that keyword processing does not disturb the reader. Certainly, with certain specified keyword combinations, that can be quite a puzzle for a web author. The use of permitted connection words often offers a solution.

5.  How to optimize meta description, keyword position for your SEO Content writing:

If you want to score higher in Google, there is a lot involved. Text is an important factor and it is always good to publish valuable content.

How do you write a good meta description?

A good meta description is therefore actually a small pitch. A unique (!) Piece of text that has to do two things: stand out and convince. No two descriptions may be the same, because you don't have two pages that are the same (and otherwise that might not be so smart, because then Google won't know which of those two should make it rank).

Anyway, to help you on your way to writing a unique and both striking and convincing meta description, I list several tips and points for attention for you.

6.  Content-length and traffic:

If you are consciously involved with your target group and target group-oriented writing, then you will automatically discover that writing for different target groups and on different topics leads to different lengths of your article. For example, you will discover that an article with "Ten tips to increase your feed conversion" works best in a short and concise (but practical) form. But if you write about "The changing future of agriculture through digitization," you as a reader soon expect a more extensive, more in-depth piece. It is also true that you can apply more and better SEO strategies in a longer text. This ensures better findability in Google, but it is of course just as important that your text is good in itself and, moreover, unique.

Measure Traffic:

Reader statistics provide insight into how your article "scores". That is why knowledge partners - companies that share their knowledge via Agrio's websites - get their own Google Analytics dashboard. On this, they can see at any time how many people read the articles they have written and posted, how intensively they read the articles and how they ended up there. That is incredibly valuable information to learn from when writing other articles.

7.  Use of H1, H2, etc with keywords:

When do you use an H1 or H2 and how do you divide those heading tags on a webpage? As far as I am concerned, it is a matter of logical thinking. You bring hierarchy to the structure of your text with those headers. Please try to use your keywords in headings which we already discussed.

Heading 1: the title of the post

I always compare the first heading with the title of a book. That is the most important heading and therefore also the largest. Usually, that is the H1, but that may also be different heading tags. I will come back to this later. Logically, it is only visible once as the most important heading on the page.

Heading 2: as a subheading

The second header is lower in the hierarchy and is logically the H2. Provided you use the H1 first. Compare this with the chapters of your book. You can use that second header more often. After all, there are several chapters in a book.

Heading 3 and further: further subdivision

I hardly use the H3 myself. Again, the following applies hierarchy. It is a subhead for the heading above. I only use it to further explain the subject under an H2. Think of it as headings above paragraphs in a book. You can easily have a few H3s under an H2. And possibly even H4s below that. Just what you find appropriate.

8.  Use of Image in your SEO Writing:

SEO for images can generate a lot of extra visitors, especially with concrete products such as telephones, kitchens or clothing, but also with products where 'experience' plays a role such as vacations and travel. An additional advantage is that not every website uses SEO for images, which makes it relatively easy to achieve good positions in Google images. Some of the factors which you should consider:

  • Surrounding text - Have the keywords appear in the text around the image.
  • File Name - Use the keyword in the file name, without other keywords.
  • Size - Use large, high-quality images (unless it concerns icons or logos).
  • Ratio - Use the most common ratios such as 4: 3 or 16:10.
  • Alt text - Place the keyword in the alt text, without other unnecessary information.
  • Access for Google - Make sure that Google can also index the images of your website.
  • Originality - The image must be different from other images. Choose your unique photos!

9.  Use charts in your SEO Writing:

You must add some statistical charts to prove your points. It helps you to make your argument more strong in your content. So, you must add it.

Use tags while publishing:

Using specific tags relevant to your post while publishing your post also plays an important role in your post.

10. Internal Links:

Internal links are very important for that reason. You can namely ensure that the pages that you want better found are given a boost. That is precisely why internal links can link important keywords. Because it is so obvious that parties want to score with those words.

11. Bounce rate:

The term bounce rate is used in Google Analytics. Bounce rate means the percentage of 1-page visits: a visitor enters a page on your website and leaves your site again on the same page without clicking further.

Why do I have a high bounce rate?

Various factors ensure a high bounce rate: The page on which visitors arrive does not look good or does not contain the correct information, as a result of which they leave the page; Visitors have found the required information and there is no longer any need to view other pages. A high bounce rate is not necessarily negative, but in general, you have to ensure that visitors stay on your website longer, so that they get to know your products or services better.

12. Plagiarism checking:

Google have Algorithms to check the quality of content. Google rank only that content that is unique or that is not scraped from another site. So, you must be serious about the uniqueness of your content.

Need for updating content:

Mostly search engine promoting that content which is the latest according to the audience. Google not promote such content which is outdated. Hence to be serious for SEO Content writing  you have to provide the latest content to your audience. So always keep an eye on the latest trends and if there is any need to update about any new this then you must go to update that content. In this way, you will compete on SERP.
